Due to unsafe road conditions for Anchorage and surrounding areas, UAA’s Anchorage campus will be on a delayed start today, Thursday, Dec. 4. Campus will open at 10 a.m. to allow for safer travel.
Retired UAA colleague passes away at 66

Former UAA Bookstore employee, Carol Stephan, passed away on Dec. 15 at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Carol came to UAA in 1987 as a trade book buyer, where she worked until her retirement in May of 2010. In addition to being employed at UAA for 23 years, Carol took many classes at the university during this time; those who knew her best said she had a great love for learning new things.
In lieu of flowers, Carol's family suggested donations be made to the SPCA in her honor. Read the complete Anchorage Daily News obituary.
