Here is the timetable for events at the 2011 UAA Black History Month Kick-Off Celebration:

  • 12 p.m. "Our Hands Together" Drum Ensemble with Jesse Wright
    Call to order
  • 12:15 p.m. Opening remarks by Interim Director of AHAINA Student Programs, Carey Brown
  • 12:20 p.m. Introduction of keynote speaker by Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Development, Dr. Dewain L. Lee
  • 12:25 p.m. Keynote address by Dean of the College of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Cheryl Easley
  • 12:40 p.m. Music by Kima Hamilton
  • 12:45 p.m. Negro National Anthem by Misha Morgan
  • 12:50 p.m. Closing remarks with BSU President Ashlaigh Gaines
