'Two Pianos in Concert' features Timothy and Rumi Smith on Feb. 13

Dynamic piano duo performers Timothy and Rumi Smith will be performing a two-piano recital on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. in the UAA Arts Building Recital Hall.

On the program:

  • "Nocturnes," by Claude Debussy, for two pianos
  • Two works by George Gershwin, including the Cuban Overture and the "I've Got Rhythm" variations
  • Selections from Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals"
  • Ravel's "Pavane" and "Rhapsodie Espagnole"

The couple has been featured numerous times in concert in Anchorage, as well as in other venues in the U.S. and in Japan, and also on Anchorage radio.
