Planetarium features Russian-language 'Dawn of the Space Age' - May 21, 2011

A Russian-language presentation of "Dawn of the Space Age" will be offered at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. This special event will feature a full 40 minutes of Russian-language narration, followed by a 10-minute presentation on the science of space travel by Dr. Andy Puckett (in English) and 10 minutes for audience questions (in both English and Russian).

This is a joint project of the UAA Planetarium and the UAA Department of Languages Russian Program. It results from a partnership between the UAA Department of Languages Russian Program and the Anchorage School District Russian Immersion Programs at Turnagain Elementary and Romig Middle School. Be immersed and overwhelmed with this most accurate historic reconstruction of man's first steps into space!
