Energy consumption by individual UAA buildings to be monitored

Building-energy-consumptionThe University of Alaska Anchorage has been monitoring energy expenditures for the past 20 years, but until recently, did not have the capability to monitor individual buildings. Now that digital energy monitoring is in place, a baseline will be used to determine the energy and water use per square foot of each UAA building, assess performance of building systems and to reward occupants who lower their energy consumption.  Digital energy monitoring is crucial to UAA's advancement in sustainability and energy reduction.
