TONIGHT: UAA Concert Board presents The Antlers and Menomena Sept. 12

The Antlers released their latest album, Burst Apart, in 2011--the follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed album, Hospice. The newest album finds the Brooklyn-based indie band exploring new electronic frontiers and expanding the sounds that made them a hit with critics. The Antlers will make their first trip to Alaska after sharing the stage with Explosions in the Sky at Portland's MusicFest Northwest.

Portland-based trio Menomena will join The Antlers in Anchorage. Menomena has been touring behind their 2010 album, Mines, for the last year. The band is known for its outstanding live show that features band members rotating instruments throughout the set.

Tickets are $25 in advance/ $30 at the door for the general public and $10 in advance/ $20 at the door for UAA students (limit two, both must be UAA students with valid UAA ID). General public tickets are available online at www.UAATix.com. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 19. Tickets are also available at the UAA Student Union Information Desk.
