2011 Flu Shot Clinics

by Jamie Gonzales  |

Ready or not, the flu season may begin this month. The best way to avoid the flu is to get vaccinated. We are coming with flu shots to a UA campus near you - in Anchorage, Mat-Su, Fairbanks and Juneau.

This year's flu shot is a combination vaccine of seasonal flu and H1N1. The cost is $25, and payments must be made by cash or check. You will get a receipt to send to your insurance for reimbursement, as your UA Choice preventive benefits cover immunizations. For your convenience, Premera Blue Cross reimbursement forms will be available.

Vaccinations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary. Available to UA employees and dependents over the age of 18.

ANCHORAGE/MAT-SU Wednesday, Oct. 12 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Rasmuson Hall Lobby (flu shots will be provided by the UAA Student Health and Counseling Center as part of the 2011 Health Fair)

Wednesday, Oct. 12 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Mat-Su Campus Library, Room 214

Presented by Carr's/Safeway and WIN for Alaska, Inc. Your UA Health In Action Wellness Program provider.
