Friday, Oct. 14, 6-8 p.m.
Fine Arts Building, Room 150

You are invited to come hear Connie Mariano, the first military woman to become the White House physician to the president, the first woman to be the director of the White House Medical Unit and the first Filipino American in U.S. history to become a Navy Rear Admiral. She recently published a book, White House Doctor: My Patients were Presidents. Her book will be available for purchase at the event, and there will be time for book-signing.

After completing 24 years of active duty service in the Navy, Mariano retired and became a consultant in the Executive Health Program at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz. In 2005, she went on to establish the Center for Executive Medicine, a medical concierge practice that provides presidential-quality medical care to CEOs and their families. An expert in presidential health care, including the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, Mariano is a frequent speaker on the topics of care to VIPs, presidential disability, travel medicine and optimizing quality of care.
