Feb. 10, 2012: Welcoming Diversity Workshop for UAA Students

Please join the UAA/ National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) team, for the award-winning "Welcoming Diversity, Prejudice Reduction" one-day workshop for UAA Students. A quote from recent participant, UAA student Mya D., captures the power of her experience, "The NCBI Diversity Workshop has changed the way I viewed myself and the world around me. I have become a better, more compassionate person because of NCBI; and I am forever grateful."

Do not miss the opportunity to engage in this experiential process, and a series of activities. The one-day workshop will focus on:

• Celebrating similarities and differences
• Recognizing information and misinformation learned about other groups including their own
• Identifying and expressing pride in the group(s) to which a person belongs
• Learning skills to effectively respond to offensive remarks and comments, and much more.
