Red, white and blue honor cords to honor graduating active duty military and veteran students

by Kathleen McCoy  |

UAA Chancellor Case is pleased to announce a symbolic new initiative honoring our graduating active duty military and veteran students. Red, white and blue honor cords will be made available to any graduating active duty, guard/reserve or veteran student interested in wearing one during commencement. These cords signify the appreciation that UAA feels toward our military and veteran community for their service and sacrifice.

Students interested in allowing UAA to honor their service with a Military & Veteran Honor Cord should contact John Johnson, the Military & Veteran Community Services Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs for information on how to apply to receive your honor cord. He can be contacted via email at jmjohnson20@uaa.alaska.edu.

Thank you for your service!
