Fran Ulmer presents at Oceans Leadership conference in Washington March 7

Logo for the U.S. Arctic Research Commission, chaired by UAA's Fran UlmerFran Ulmer, UAA's Arctic Research Scholar and chairperson of the United States Arctic Research Commission, presents a talk March 7 at the 2012 Public Policy Forum on Oceans Leadership in Washington D.C.

This day-long public meeting facilitates ocean policy discussions with representatives from Congress, federal agencies, industry and the academic research community. It is attended by presidents, deans and directors from ocean research and education institutions from around the country, other external stakeholders and members of Congress and their staff. It provides an opportunity for collaboration and discussions on issues of national importance to the ocean advocacy community.
