Classified Council nominations accepted through April 13

Nomination deadline: Friday, April 13, 5 p.m.
Submit nominations via email to: uaa_gov@uaa.alaska.edu

Nominate yourself or a worthy colleague to a seat on the Classified Council and represent all classified (hourly) employees at UAA. Find out more about Classified Council online. Positions available include:

10 seats: Anchorage campus, two-year terms (2012-2014)
1 seat: Mat-Su College, two-year term (2012-2014)
1 seat: Prince William Sound Community College, two-year term (2012-2014)

Keep in mind that only classified (hourly) employees are eligible. Please only nominate those who are willing to serve and able to attend Classified Council meetings on the first Thursday of the month from September through May, 8:30-10 a.m. Audio conferencing is available for community campus members.
 
Nominations process:

1. Please send nominations (you may submit more than one nomination and self-nominations are encouraged) via email to UAA_gov@uaa.alaska.edu or reply to this email.
2. Please include a name, phone number and very brief biography for each nominee. Biography should contain 2-3 sentences about where the nominee works, how long the nominee has been at UAA and why the nominee is interested in serving on Classified Council.
3. Please indicate which seat the nomination is for (Anchorage, Mat-Su or PWSCC).
   

Voting will take place April 17-25. Newly elected members will be notified by April 27 and begin their service with the Thursday, May 3, meeting.
