Criminal justice talks and free pizza, April 27

by Jamie Gonzales  |

Friday, April 27, 1 p.m.
Social Sciences Building, Room 224

Alpha Phi Sigma, Justice Club and UAA Club Council are hosting an afternoon of pizza and presentations. Two Alpha Phi Sigma members will reprise presentations they made at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences in March in New York City. Ezekiel Kaufman will present "The Challenges of Voir Dire [Jury Selection] in Rural Court Trials" and Heather MacAlpine will present "Three Strikes? A Look at Young Black Males' and Their Perceptions of the Police."

This event is also your chance to learn about attending and preparing for professional conferences as part of your UAA educational experience. Come talk with members of the Justice Club and Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society, about opportunities available to organization members. And, of course, eat free pizza!
