UAA Police Auxiliary Emergency Team honored during National Volunteer Recognition Week

During National Volunteer Recognition Week (April 15-21), the members of the UAA Police
Auxiliary Emergency Team, received certificates of appreciation on Thursday, April
19, for their service during the academic year. As a chapter of the Volunteers In
Police Service, the UAA employees are on-call to respond and assist University Police
Department officers in emergencies. They receive basic training in directing crowds,
directing traffic, evacuating buildings, and a variety of other topics.
