Mat-Su College hosts first annual alumni event

Matanuska-Susitna College held its First Annual Alumni Barbeque on the evening of Wednesday, July 11. Thanks go out to to all of the community supporters for the success of this first annual event that hosted more than 70 attendees.

College Director Talis Colberg said at the event, "Our college is now regularly reaching major milestones. We are now at the point where we have a substantial alumni base. With alumni comes a generosity and loyalty that benefits both the current students and the institution in general. Our First Annual Alumni Barbeque was a fun opportunity for former students from different years to make and renew connections with our employees and their classmates. We were a place where people took a class or two and then went elsewhere. Increasingly, we now have students who think of this place as their school--a place of learning and good memories. We look forward to many, many years of even better annual alumni events."
