UAA's A-Team gets four new members

Vice Chancellor Bruce Schultz is pleased to share that the Student Affairs Assessment Team (aka the A-Team) has expanded beyond its current members of Mike B. Smith, Lacy Karpilo, Theresa Lyons and Ayeesha Hankins to now include:

• Dawn Dooley, associate dean of students
• Deborah Mole, associate professor/research librarian
• E. Andre Thorn, director of the Multicultural Center
• Karen Haddock, disability accommodations coordinator

The A-Team supports Student Affairs' ongoing efforts to promote and advance department and program assessment practices throughout the unit, and the new members bring a wide range of assessment expertise and leadership to the team. The group recently participated in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Assessment & Persistence Conference where they learned how to further promote student learning and success by strengthening assessment and using institutional data to improve persistence and retention programs.
