Fall 2012: Pilot Bread Connection

Saturday, Sept. 8, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Rooms 106 and 107 All are invited to attend a free gathering to celebrate the indigenous people and cultures of Alaska. Come explore our identities and build friendships! Activities and discussions will focus on the indigenous perspective of Alaska Native games, Alaska Native dancing, subsistence in Anchorage, urban basketball, decolonization, activism, traditional values and more. The day will also include discussions with elders, an Alaska Native Dance group performance and lunch.

Although pre-registration is strongly encouraged, no one will be turned away at the door. Those who pre-register by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, will be entered to win a gift certificate for a customized Laura Wright parky (qaspek/atikluuk).

Guest parking is available in the Visitor Parking Lot between the Gorsuch Commons and Templewood Apartments, off of Elmore Road.
