2012 Faculty Development Grant; apply by Nov. 12

The Centers for Advancing Faculty Excellence, Community Engagement and Learning, and Faculty Technology are pleased to offer the 2012 Faculty Development Grant. This award is designed to support a faculty member's ongoing individual professional development by supplementing the ability to attend certain out-of-state conferences and programs.

All faculty, regardless of rank, are eligible to apply. This award, up to $5,000, is designed to strengthen faculty knowledge and ability in one of the following topic areas through attendance at one of the specified conferences. No prior experience or research within these areas is required. Applications are due Nov. 12.

16th Annual Continuums of Service Conference: "The Engaged Campus: Higher Education for the Public Good," April 24-26, 2013
American Democracy Project National Meeting, June 6-8, 2013

Educational Technology
EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative Annual Meeting, Feb. 4-6, 2013
Sloan-C, 6th Annual International Symposium for Emerging Technologies for Online Learning, April 9-11, 2013

Faculty Support and Pedagogy
31st Annual Academic Chairpersons Conference, Feb. 6-8, 2013
25th Annual Lilly Conference on College and University Teaching - West, March 14-16, 2013

Open Track
If one of these conferences does not interest you, or you already have plans to attend another faculty development-oriented conference in the area of teaching and learning, please submit a proposal to our "open" track. Attend any conference related to faculty development in the area of teaching and learning. The conference must take place before July 1, 2013.
