Seventh Annual Ton in Ten: Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive, Nov. 5-15

It's Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive time, Nov. 5-15! The Ton in Ten is back for the seventh year, and our black collection barrels will start showing up campus-wide Nov. 2. With the help of the Human Services Club and HUMS A390, peanut butter and jelly will be sent directly to the organizations in need. Through the years we have collected more than 10,000 pounds of food and distributed it to the Anchorage community; last year we collected 2,812 pounds! The smallest sized jars were donated to the UAA Student Health and Counseling Center's Emergency Food Cache and UAA Commons for all those starving college students out there. The rest went to tons of local nonprofits that feed those in need within our community.
