Park your car in the right lot or garage before winter break

by Michelle Saport  |

Any university fleet vehicles that can be relocated or parked long-term over break may be parked in either parking garage in the covered areas between Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 and Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. Relocating your vehicles facilitates snow removal over winter break and allows a central location for UPD to concentrate safety patrols. If vehicles are driven on a regular basis or will be used over break, you are welcome to leave them parked as usual but may be asked to move them occasionally for snow removal. Permit enforcement resumes the first day of classes, Jan. 14, 2013, at 7:30 a.m.

Long-term student parking (over winter break) should be directed to Cottonwood Lot (near student housing). For students who will leave their vehicles at University Housing, Cottonwood Lot usually provides enough spaces to allow snow removal and lot maintenance in all other lots on campus.

A current fall semester, red housing or annual parking permit is required for vehicles parked on campus over break (spring permits have been available online since Nov. 9 but may not be received in time to display before winter break).

Hertz on Demand rental cars will remain in their assigned parking spaces throughout winter break to allow renters ease of use.

Please direct specific parking-related questions to Parking Services at (907) 786-1119, the Parking Call Team at (907) 786-1103 or UPD (during winter break) at (907) 786-1120.
