Victoria Kononova is studying Slavic languages at the University of Wisconsin. Her dissertation is entitled "Nationalism, Ethnography, and the Appropriation of the Folk in Late Nineteenth Century Russian Literature and Culture." This event is sponsored by the UAA History Department.
