Why Choose Us?
First of all, check out this video of a news story KTUU did on the Center for Corporate and Professional Development - this tells our story quite well. KTUU Video
We believe that we have significant advantages to offer you in your quest for further professional development. First of all, courses and programs are taught by experienced faculty and staff who are subject matter experts with years of practical experience in their respective fields. The UAA College of Business, whose faculty instructs a wide variety of classes for us, is ranked in the top 15% of accredited Schools of Business in the country.
Second, those attending classes and workshops do not have to travel out of state to obtain exceptional educational opportunities. Rather than being out of the office for extended periods of time, expending dollars on transportation, lodging and meals, you can invest those dollars directly into the continuing development of your employees. In many cases, multiple individuals can be sent to the same class for what it would cost to send a single individual elsewhere in the country.
Third, typically our multi-day classes are offered over a period of weeks, rather than just a few days. Between the classes, you have the opportunity to begin implementation of the new knowledge that you have gained. When you return for your next class, you can discuss what you have learned with your fellow classmates, who are also in process of implementing this new knowledge. This novel approach leads to a significant greater absorption of the material presented, which will result in greater applied development and better return on your investment. This is simply not an economic possibility when considering classes in the lower 48.
We also have a deep respect for the real people of Alaska. Through this commitment, we can ensure the continued professional and educational development of future generations of Alaskans.
