Prerequisites for the OSH Program

UAA is an open enrollment university, however, there are math and English prerequisites for the entry level course in the program, OSH A101 - Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health. Students need to have taken MATH A105 - Intermediate Algebra and passed the course with a "C" or better, or be eligible to take the MATH A105 concurrently with OSH A101.  If a student places into a math course at a higher level than MATH A105, the prerequisite is met.

A student must also be eligible to enroll in ENGL A111 - Introduction to Composition.  Both the math and English prerequisites can be established by taking the Accuplacer test through the UAA Testing Center.
