Accessibility and Privacy Information for Instructional Technology Tools
Good course design includes a commitment to accessibility and usability for all students. Quality Matters Accessibility & Usability Standard 8.6 specifically requires that vendor accessibility statements are provided for all technologies that are required for your course(s). QM Course Technology Standard 6.4 ensures students are provided with information on protecting their data and privacy. You may include accessibility and privacy statements in your syllabus, on a resource page within your course, or you may link directly to this webpage. The Student Help link in each UAA Blackboard course links to this page, but you will need to make of point of referring students there. If a technology tool that you utilize in your course is not listed below, you are responsible for providing the accessibility and privacy statements for that tool.
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a document that explains how information and communication technology products such as software, hardware, electronic content, and support documentation meet the Revised 508 Standards for accessibility.
