Alaska Direct Service Workers Survey Report (2009)

UAA Center for Human Development (CHD) conducted a survey of direct service workers (DSWs) in Alaska for the Workforce Development Initiative Recruitment and Retention Committee sponsored by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority. The survey targeted DSWs who work with people with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease and related dementia, chemical dependence, chronic alcoholism, mental illness, and traumatic brain injury. The goal of the survey was to develop a profile of job satisfaction and the influence of employment benefits on job recruitment and retention.
