The Alaska Native Oratory Society (AkNOS) invites you to the AkNOS Statewide Competition, "Your Voices, Our Future," on Saturday April 12 in Rasmuson Hall.
Registration and check-in will begin at 8 a.m. AkNOS is open to Alaska's Native and Non-Native university and high school students. Students will speak in one of four cash award categories: oratory, declamation, storytelling and Native languages. "Traditional Introductions" is a People's Choice award category. Round 1 begins at 10:30 a.m.
