Fall 2009: Student Veterans Group to meet

An informational meeting for students interested in forming a UAA chapter of the Student Veterans of America is scheduled for today, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. in the University Center, Room 145.
Student, faculty and staff veterans are invited to attend. Meet with other student, faculty and staff members that are veterans and explore the potential for a campus group. Refreshments will be served.

From the Student Veterans Web site: "Founded in January of 2008, SVA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that works to develop new student groups, coordinate between existing student groups and advocate on behalf of student veterans at the local, state and national level."
