Spring 2019 Commencement Speaker Geser Bat-Erdene is known around UAA for his roles in advocacy and student government. An international student and the son of parents educated behind the Iron Curtain, Bat-Erdene has a unique perspective on the need for citizens in a democracy to hold their leaders accountable.
