Kickoff and Welcome Week

Campus Kickoff

Campus Kickoff is UAA's traditional kickstart to the year. Open to all students, staff, faculty, and families, Kickoff brings together some of the best UAA experiences, including the student involvement fair, comedy show, student dance and BBQ, and a late night of entertainment and student discounts at the local Fred Meyer store. It’s a great way to get involved, get excited about the school year and meet a ton of new people!

Every Year at Kickoff

Every year, Kickoff begins with the Student Involvement Fair. The Cuddy Quad is filled with booths sponsored by UAA student clubs and organizations, departments and community businesses. Booths will be giving out information, swag, and even prizes! The fair features live music, roving acts, and food trucks! Be sure to take time to sit and eat some great food from local food trucks and enjoy the music!

The night continues with a comedy show (which brings in some of the best names in comedy) and is followed by a free student BBQ and dance. The festivities end with College Night at Fred Meyer which includes great prizes, amazing student discounts, and fun competitions!

Come be a part of one of the biggest UAA student traditions on-campus!

Kickoff usually falls on the Saturday before classes start for the fall semester at UAA. It is usually centralized around the Cuddy Quad area. This is located in the heart of west campus, adjacent to the Wendy Williamson Auditorium and Rasmuson Hall. Please see the UAA map for details.

Kickoff is open to all UAA students, staff, faculty, friends and family. Shuttles to and from the Gorsuch Commons and Rasmuson Hall take students from residence halls to kickoff and to College Night at Fred Meyer.

Registration is not needed for attendees (student and public organizations are required to register to participate in the student involvement fair).
