Blackboard is the main online space for all UAA courses. As of Fall 2026, all UAA courses are in Blackboard Ultra course view. These resources will help you get started with Blackboard Ultra.

Use this sample course to get comfortable with Blackboard Ultra and try out the tools your real courses might use. Although this course has “graded” items to show how the Gradebook works, there is no official grade or credit associated with it. It's just an opportunity to practice with Ultra.
To self-enroll in this course:

- Sign in with your UA Account
- Click Submit on the Self Enrollment page
- Click OK to be taken to the Course Content page

- Self-enroll in the UAA Blackboard Ultra Faculty Community to browse Ultra topics and find how-to guides for copying course content, creating new course content, gradebook, announcements, course settings, etc.
- Browse the UAA Ultra Playlist to see if the help you need is available in one of our short how-to videos
- Read our Ultra at UAA FAQs
- Register for a one-week, fully asynchronous Blackboard Ultra Course Conversion training, which will be offered each term to help instructors prepare future courses. It includes a pathway for users who are designing new courses, not just converting from Original. Check the registration link for dates.
