Discover what ultrasound is and learn about the types of exams that we can perform.
Try your hand and performing scans with handheld Ultrasound Tablets, try out our SonoSimulator
on a simulated patient, and review different types of exam images as you learn more
about Diagnostic Medical Sonography at UAA.
Crime in Your Neighborhood
Locate your address on a map and see how much and what kinds of crime are happening
in your neighborhood as you learn more about the Justice program at UAA.
Micro Match - Disease Diagnosis
Do you want to be a disease detective? Do you want to discover emerging pathogens?
Come to this station to discover Medical Laboratory Science, the gateway to diagnostic microbial testing.
Explore a Career in the Law!
Come and learn about the many career opportunities available with a degree in Legal Studies. Try your hand at defending the legality of cannibalism. Or whether Humpty Dumpty
should be allowed to sue the king.
GlitterBug (Hand Hygiene)
Come to this station to learn how to wash hands the fun way (more than just singing
the birthday song) and learn more about the Medical Assisting program at UAA.
Stop by this station to hear about the exciting education and career opportunities

Nursing Skills Labs
Ever been curious to see how nurses learn to put in an IV, or draw blood, or insert
a tube from the nose to the stomach? Stop by to view some of the hands-on activities
that nursing students participate in during their skills lab courses in nursing school!
Explore Social Work
Come to this station to learn about Social Work degree options, student opportunities, and meet faculty and current students. We
will have swag and candy, and will be available to answer any questions anyone might

Explore multiple aspects of your everyday life and discover how it connects to the
essential services of public health.
Explore Surgical Technology
Come check out various instruments used in surgery, watch a demonstration on loading
knife handles and sutures and learn how to pass instruments like you would in a real
surgery! Learn how to suture and staple various items and try on real surgical attire
used in the operating room as you explore the Surgical Technology program.
Explore Human Services
Come to this station to learn about different professions in Human Services, the current
high-demand careers in Alaska, and degrees offered by UAA's Department of Human Services.
Explore the Doctor of Pharmacy Program
Stop by this station for a chance to spin the wheel and answer a pharmacy-related question in order to be eligible for a ticket to win a big prize!
Explore Dental Programs Come tour the dental clinic and participate in a typodont game that tests your teeth
skills as you put teeth back in their correct location. Participate in a trivia game
to learn even more about dental assisting and dental hygiene.
