Clinical Briefings for Alaska
CLINICAL BRIEFINGS
Fast, Evidence-Based Learning for Alaska Providers
What is a Clinical Briefing?
A Clinical Briefing is a short, focused, one-on-one or small-group conversation designed to share evidence-based clinical information in a practical, real-world context.
Also known as academic detailing, Clinical briefing is an approach to continuing education aligned with the Centers for Disease Control evidence based practice of academic detailing. It has been simplified and adapted for Alaska’s healthcare workforce—making it easier to understand, access, and apply.
These briefings are:
- Short (15-30 minutes)
- Conversational, not lecture-based
- Focused on real clinical decisions
- Designed for immediate use in practice

Clinical Briefings on MOUD help providers:
- Understand MOUD pharmacology and clinical application
- Integrate MOUD into pain management workflows
- Deliver compassionate, stigma-free care for patients with OUD

Healthcare providers across Alaska often work in:

- High-demand clinical environments
Clinical Briefings make it easier to:
