Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the selection process work?

Selection of candidates is based on review of the paper application and an interview. Applications are initially reviewed to determine whether they meet the required criteria; admissions to UAA and completion of all prerequisite courses. If an applicant does not fulfill these requirements, they will not be considered. Furthermore, if any section of the application is not complete or omitted, the application will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.

The application and all it's components are graded using a point system. Top tier candidates are offered an interview.

  • What are the interviews like?
Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel of imaging professionals from the university and the community. Arrangements will be made for interviews. If you have questions, please contact the program support specialist at (907) 786-4346.
  • How will I know if I have been accepted?
Students will be sent a letter of acceptance or denial via email. The entire application process from the May deadline takes approximately six (6) weeks.
  • I am not able to attend full-time, are there any part-time options?
The Radiologic Technology Program is a full-time, two year program. Students enter into the full-major program with the understanding they must follow the course sequence outlined in the course catalog. However, prior to the full-major program, students may complete prerequisite and general degree requirements on a part-time basis.
