  • Student Clubs

    Medical Laboratory Science Club

    The purpose of the MLS Club is to help fellow students with their studies of the medical sciences and to help increase awareness of the medical laboratory profession. 

    Pre-Pharmacy Club

    The Pre-Pharmacy Club is a student organization for undergraduates who plan to pursue careers in pharmacy. The club's mission is to provide resources and opportunities for students in the pharmacy field. Through encouraging a communal environment where students can seek advice and work together with peers, the Pre-Pharmacy club aims to help members become the best prepared and most qualified applicants to a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program.

  • Student Scholarships

    UAA Allied Health Administration Scholarship

    This scholarship is available to UAA students in an Allied Health degree or certificate program.  It is awarded three-times annually for the Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters. 

    • Eligibility Information

      Applicant must meet the following requirements:

      • Be admitted to UAA in an Allied Health Sciences program of study as a full major.
      • Be enrolled in a minimum of three credits leading to a degree or certificate in an Allied Health program.
      • At the time of application have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduate programs, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 for undergraduate or a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for administrative waiver undergraduate. 
      • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
      • Submit application with all requested information by 5 p.m. AKST on November 22, 2024. No late applications will be accepted.

    Second Chance Scholarship

    This scholarship is designed to offer a second chance to non-traditional undergraduate students who are pursuing their educational goals in an Allied Health field of study at UAA. 

    • Eligibility Information

      Applicant must meet the following requirements:

      • Be admitted to UAA in an undergraduate Allied Health Sciences program of study as a full major.
      • Be enrolled in a minimum of three credits leading to a degree or certificate in an Allied Health program.
      • Be an Alaska resident.
      • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the time of application. 
      • Demonstrate financial need.
      • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
      • Submit an application packet with all requested information by 5 p.m. on April 22, 2024. No late applications will be accepted.

    Alaska Pharmacists Association Pharmacy Technician Scholarship

    This scholarship is awarded by the Alaska Pharmacists Association to students currently enrolled in the pharmacy technology curriculum at the University of Alaska, or to a current Alaska Pharmacy Technician license holder who intends to enroll in the pharmacy technology curriculum at the University of Alaska. 

    • Eligibility Information

      Applicant must meet the following requirements:

      • Be an Alaska resident who is a high school graduate or hold a GER certificate
      • Be enrolled in the Pharmacy Technology Program curriculum at UAA OR
      • Be a current Alaska Pharmacy Technician license holder who intends to enroll in the pharmacy technology curriculum at the University of Alaska

    Alaska Pharmacists Association Pre-Pharmacy Scholarship

    This scholarship is awarded by The Alaska Pharmacists Association to assist students pursuing Pharmacy in completing their course of study and encouraging their future practice in the state of Alaska.  

    • Eligibility Information

      Applicant must meet the following requirements:

      • Be enrolled in pre-pharmacy curriculum, or equivalent
      • Be a student in good standing
      • Have a history in Alaska
