Biography

Shelby is a communications coordinator in the College of Health. She graduated from Boise State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Certificate in Dispute resolution with a Life Skills Focus. She is currently working toward her Master of Arts in Professional Communication through UAF and anticipates graduating in spring 2027.

Shelby experienced first-hand the impact that campus engagement can have on student success, leading her to enter the field of higher education. She moved to Alaska in 2022 after accepting a job in UAA Student Engagement working with student clubs and Fraternity & Sorority Life. She later joined the College of Health Communications & Recruitment team to do work that more closely aligns with her academic background.

When not working, Shelby enjoys alpine and backcountry skiing with her partner and spending time outside with their two dogs.
