UAA Campus is Open

We are pleased to report the UAA Anchorage campus will open on Wednesday, Dec. 5, following last Friday's earthquake. The Chugiak-Eagle River Campus will remain closed, but classes will resume in alternative locations. Students should check UAOnline for their new meeting location. As you return to campus, we encourage you to check the web page for important safety tips and resources about how to submit work requests to facilities for repairs. Please continue to check our Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates.

Building Alaska's Workforce

The UAA Army ROTC program is part of the UAA Community & Technical College. Together, we're Building Alaska’s Workforce and fostering student success through quality education and technical training.

Join the Army ROTC program

Army ROTC is the United States Army's primary officer training program. The University of Alaska Anchorage Army ROTC program is a cooperative effort between the U.S. Army, the Alaska Army National Guard and the University of Alaska Anchorage to educate, train and prepare students to serve as officers in the Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.

UAA Army ROTC has two-, three- and four-year programs that lead to a commission as a second lieutenant. The program is divided into a basic course for freshmen and sophomores and an advanced course for juniors and seniors. Programs and courses can be adjusted to meet specific needs of individual students who wish to enroll but are past their freshman year.

Cadet Spotlight

“Participating in the Ranger Challenge is a testimony to the cadets’ dedication. They have put in many extra hours above an already demanding fitness schedule to prepare themselves physically and mentally for the competition.”
