COMPUTER SYSTEMS & NETWORKING TECHNOLOGY
In order to better serve students, employers, and the state, the university is exploring the creation of short-term certificates with embedded professional certifications in place of the associate’s degree in Computer Systems & Network Technology.
Students already admitted to the program will have the opportunity to complete their degree under their current catalog. Students will want to meet with their assigned advisor no later than Friday, October 2, 2026 to develop a completion plan, ensuring all requirements are met within the required timeframe. You can also discuss alternatives, if you no longer wish to complete the AAS.
Students admitted through Anchorage and Mat-su at this time should meet with Senior Academic Advisor Kirsten Kensinger at klkensinger@alaska.edu.
If you have questions, please reach out to the Community and Technical College dean’s office at 907-795-6464.
Sincerely,

Raymond Weber, Ph.D.
Dean
