Welcome! The University of Alaska Anchorage's Engineering, Science & Project Management Department is dedicated to ensuring that our students receive the best training and management education possible in their respective fields. We encompass both the oldest and one of the newest master's degree programs at the University of Alaska Anchorage. We are pleased to provide excellence in education through our programs and several training courses.
The Engineering Management and Science Management curriculum is designed for graduate engineers and scientists who aspire to hold executive or managerial positions in technology-oriented organizations. ESM graduates hold leadership positions in several areas including the energy resources, green engineering, service operations, financial engineering, innovation design, healthcare, construction, oil & gas, mining, intelligent transportation, healthcare, information technology, education, military and government sectors. Both a Master of Science in Engineering Management degree and a Master of Science in Science Management degree are offered.
Project management has evolved into a skill set required for managers in all areas of business, industry, government, and education. In today's competitive marketplace, educating employees in contemporary project management techniques is fundamental for organizations interested in improving their productivity, effectiveness, and financial performance. A Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree program is offered. We continually improve our course content and curriculum to better serve our students using the most relevant and effective information and techniques possible.
Our professional training short courses are offered as focused and in-depth classes tailored for professionals. We offer short courses for a variety of subjects on a regular basis and can create custom short courses to meet a specific organization's need by request.
