Thursday, June 23, 10-Noon UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214
IT Services has two new support options to help you manage your CMS websites: online consultations and open houses.
Online consultations Learn CMS without leaving your office. Now, when you sign up for a web consultation you can choose to do an online conference from your own computer or the traditional face-to-face meeting in the Social Sciences Building. Save the parking hassle, save gas, save the planet!
The next IT Open House is Thursday, June 23. Hang out with a web pro in the lab. Each month, WebPros will host an open house in a computer lab where you can escape to build your website and consult with a WebPro. Open houses generally are hosted the third Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon in LIB 214, the Faculty Technology Center.
IT Services hopes this portfolio of support options helps you find the information you need to succeed on the web.
- Self-service documentation in the technology knowledge base
- Call Center can remote control your computer to show you the answer to your CMS question over the phone
- One-on-one consultation sessions are face-to-face or via web conference
- The mailing list is a good forum to ask questions of the web community
- Monthly open house gets you some time and expertise to work on your site
- Annual workshops give a "state of the union" presentation about UAA's web ecosystem
P.S. Want statistics for your CMS site? Get a gmail account for your department and contact Call Center to get access to UAA's Google analytics account. P.P.S. 60 percent of department sites have been migrated to Denali View. Thank you web publishers!
