Classified Council will be hosting two wellness breaks for UA employees in mid-March. This wellness benefit of your UA Health In Action program is fully supported by the University of Alaska. Staff and faculty are encouraged to attend this free event with supervisor approval.
The wellness breaks will be held:

Tuesday, March 12, 8 a.m.-noon
Consortium Library, Room 307

Wednesday, March 13, 8-10 a.m.
University Center, Room 101

Both breaks will feature:

  • Door prize drawings for presentation attendees
  • Mini-presentations
  • Cholesterol/glucose screenings
  • Chair massages
  • Q-and-A session
  • Wellness exercises
  • Healthful snacks
  • Health In Action program overview

Biometric screenings will also be available to health plan eligible employees by registration. Knowing your biometric numbers can provide early detection of health problems and increase your health awareness. Knowing your numbers empowers you to assume responsibility for your own personal health choices by using your health screening information for early disease detection. Read more here.

Please note: A minimum of six people must preregister 24 hours prior to the event or it may be subject to cancellation. You must be in a health plan eligible position to register for a screening or massage. Please check with your benefits department about eligibility requirements at (866) 465-8934. Details on how to register will be available by early March.
