Faculty Technology Center workshops for Feb. 4-8

Here are the workshops available for registration for the week of February 4-8 at the Faculty Technology Center. Workshops must have a minimum of 3 people registered to go ahead as scheduled. You can register online through our website calendar. Registration for a workshop will automatically close 24 hours before the workshop to allow time to send out confirmation/cancellation emails.

Faculty Discovery Commons
Tuesday, Feb. 5, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

The Discovery Commons is an opportunity for faculty and staff to come together and discuss the current trends in educational technology. Topics might include distance education, social media, Google apps, online teaching and learning, Blackboard, mobile technology or the pedagogical approach to teaching with technology. Our bi-weekly conversations may be structured around the reading of a common text or based in demonstrations of individual faculty work. In either case, the Discovery Commons is an open, free-flowing conversation that welcomes newcomers at any time.
