Friday, May 10, 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
Fine Arts Building, Mainstage Theatre
It's been 25 years since the opening of the border between Russia and Alaska. To celebrate this and other important milestones as well as Russia-Alaska friendship, the Russian community is coming together for a gala event. This family event features traditional Russian dance, music, songs, poetry, a costume fashion show, children's art exhibit, wearable art, silent auction and more. Prepare to be dazzled, enthralled and swept away into a vibrant world of Russian heritage and traditions. Our goal is to learn, share and promote art and intercultural dialogue. Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan and UAA Chancellor Tom Case will deliver welcoming remarks.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking on campus is free on Fridays.
