Due to the campus closure on Tuesday, Jan. 27, the Cabin Fever Debate introductory meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. The meeting will still take place in SSB 118.

Anchorage (Jan. 23) – Sophomore Jordan Grindol paced a big effort on balance beam and the UAA gymnastics team got strong three-event showings from junior Jamilia Duffus and senior Madelyn Gomez on Friday to earn a 190.275-171.300 victory over Wilberforce in its home-opening meet at the Alaska Airlines Center.
Four UAA alums headed to 2026 Winter Olympics
Park City, Utah – University of Alaska Anchorage will have four alums competing at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy Feb. 6-22. Peter Hinds (Slovakia), JC Schoonmaker (USA) and Hailey Swirbul (USA) will each be competing in Nordic skiing, and Pascale Paradis (Canada) will compete in biathlon.
Falcons edge Seawolves with record-setting 3-point display
Anchorage (Jan. 23) – Sophomore Mahaila Harrison had 28 points and 11 rebounds and senior Taylor Searcey nearly recorded a triple-double, but the UAA women’s basketball team fell victim to a record-setting three-point display by Seattle Pacific in a 101-98 loss Thursday at the Alaska Airlines Center.
