CBPP team wins 3rd place prize at 15th Quinnipiac Investment Game Competition
by Green & Gold News |
The College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) was represented by 10 students—five undergraduate and five graduate students—alongside faculty advisor Dr. Ajit Dayanandan at the 15th Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum, hosted by Quinnipiac University in New York City. Their participation was made possible through the generous support of the Michael J. Burns Excellence Endowment Fund, which helped provide students with access to this impactful, career-shaping experience.
A key highlight was the presentation of CBPP’s Seawolf Student Managed Portfolio by undergraduate finance students. As part of the forum’s Investment Game Competition, the CBPP team earned third place in the Value Global Portfolio poster competition—competing against 135 universities worldwide—with undergraduate students Carmen Sofie Neilseen and Katie Sperry presenting the Seawolf Portfolio’s performance results.
Established in 2021 through a generous $1 million+ gift from Gary Klopfer and Jane Cuddy Klopfer, the Seawolf Investment Fund provides students with hands-on investment experience through the BA 491A course. The Seawolf Fund has consistently outperformed market benchmarks, and presenting at the GAME Forum allowed students to showcase their success while comparing performance with peer institutions.
