Activities and Programs
Student Activities
Student Activities, housed in the Student Union, within the Department of Student Engagement, develops a variety of ‘out-of-the-classroom’ programs and activities to enrich students' college experience. From large campus traditions to karaoke nights to study breaks to discounts in the community, Student Activities aims to create memorable and meaningful experiences for our diverse student population.
Programs and activities are primarily advertised on SeawolfLife and the Engage Website. Student Activities is, in large part, funded by Student Activities Fees. Learn more about specific fees and what they support on the Student Costs page.
Homecoming

The annual Homecoming week is a celebration of school spirit and tradition. Each year, students look forward to a week-long club competition, exciting sporting events, and the Homecoming Dance. If you are interested in assisting with the planning for Homecoming week, you can join the Traditions Committee.
Winterfest is a weeklong, mid-winter ‘pick me up’ tradition! Art and Music in the Quad is a highlight of the week, featuring snow graffiti, live music, and discounted food truck meals! A new lineup of films is featured every year at the BANFF Film Festival. The week is packed with opportunities to root for UAA Athletics, explore campus, and recreate in the Anchorage area.
