MVASC Testing Center

The Elmendorf Military and Veteran Academic Success Center (MVASC) includes a professional testing environment that supports student retention and success by offering examinations for students and the community that assist with academic and professional advancement. The Elmendorf MVASC testing center maintains membership with and adheres to guidelines set forth by the National College Testing Association (NCTA).

  • Accuplacer Writing Placement Test

    Accuplacer Writing Placement Test

    Accuplacer is UAA's computerized placement test to assess your reading comprehension and writing skills. The Accuplacer helps you and your advisor make informed decisions about which writing course is best for you to take in your first semester.

  • ALEKS Math Placement Testing

    ALEKS Math Placement Testing

    Take the ALEKS placement test to see where your math and statistics knowledge and skills place you on your degree path.

  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS VII)

    Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS VII)

    The TEAS VII is a standardized exam used for students entering the UAA Dental Hygiene program and for admission to the UAA School of Nursing.

  • Myers Briggs

    Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

    The MBTI is a personality test designed to help you better understand the dynamics of your personality traits and help you identify occupations that may best suit you.

  • Strong Interest Inventory Test

    Strong Interest Inventory Test

    The Strong test is designed to help you identify your “likes” and “dislikes” and discover how your profile matches with the interests of people from a wide range of occupations.

  • CLEP Testing

    College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP)

    The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides all students with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses.

  • DSST Testing

    DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)

    The computer-based DSST tests are nationally-recognized and provide students the opportunity to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the classroom.

  • Major Field Test

    Major Field Test

    The Major Field Test is a measurement of student learning outcomes in a specified discipline; UAA offers these tests in the fields of Biology, Computer Science and Physics. Generally, you would take a Major Field Test during your final semester of study.

  • Psychology ACAT

    Psychology Area Concentration Achievement Test (ACAT)

    The Psychology ACAT is a standardized test of knowledge and required for all undergraduate Psychology majors who wish to graduate from UAA.

Proctoring Exams

The Elmendorf MVASC testing center offers proctoring for exams from other schools, universities or programs. Schedule your exam at least one week in advance of your preferred test date.
