Leadership Through Listening
Overview
All employees are invited to participate in a Leadership Through Listening session each semester for a casual conversation with the chancellor and vice chancellors. This is your chance to share your thoughts and ideas! Each event will feature a theme and discussion prompts, but you’re always welcome to bring up any topic on your mind. These sessions are co-hosted by the Faculty Senate, Staff Council, and the Employee Experience department.
Intended Outcomes
- Ensure that individuals engaged in the work feel acknowledged, valued, and respected.
- Foster two-way communication by cultivating a culture of active listening.
- Enhance institutional literacy across all levels.
- Raise awareness of and reinforce shared governance principles.
- Highlight collective challenges that face both faculty and staff.
- Create stronger, more lateral bonds between faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Unify faculty, staff, and administrators around shared priorities.
