Biography
Hans Hallinen was born, raised, and educated in Anchorage, Alaska. He continues to work and live in his hometown, where he helps artists stage exhibitions at the International Gallery of Contemporary Art, and provides support for students creating artwork in the Sculpture Lab at the UAA Fine Arts Department. Through his work as a web producer for the Alaska Dispatch News and his experience as a design intern with Intrinsic Landscapes, Hans has cultivated a variety of skills; employing new media technologies such as scripting, computer aided drafting, and rapid prototyping side-by-side with traditional craftsmanship and wisdom.
