The Society of Law and Justice
About Us
Are you interested in law, criminal justice, social work, public policy, or community service?
The Society of Law and Justice is a student organization within the UAA Justice Center. Open to all majors-no GPA or class standing required-SLJ connects students who are passionate about law, justice, and community engagement.
The Society of Law and Justice serves as a central hub for students within the Justice Center and Legal Department, as well as anyone interested in law and justice. Opportunities range from learning about career paths and networking to building meaningful connections with like-minded students.
We are a club that listens to the student body and hosts events based on their interests. Our current events include criminal justice facility tours, meet and greets with various professionals in legal and justice-related careers, networking with attorneys and law firms, and guest speakers or information sessions covering a wide range of topics.
The club also hosts community events to spread awareness about how the justice system, laws, and the Constitution affect everyone’s day-to-day lives.
The club prides itself on fostering open, non-partisan discussions and hosting inclusive events that welcome individuals from all backgrounds.
