Professor Olson’s COMM 111 students were out in full force on February 27th, 2019, helping the UAA community to be more civically involved. As part of a community-engaged class project, students created informative materials focused on the importance of young voter registration, education, and turnout in upcoming elections. They registered 37 voters in the Spring 2019 as a result of this project. Over the past three years, this project has registered nearly 600 new voters on campus!
